For ease of installation and for simplicity, I would pick MPIO HD300 over ipod. The problem with it is its touch control is so sensitive and its reaction time is about five seconds!
Ipod is not that easy to sync with a PC, specially if your Windows software is not licensed. :) I tried their help site but the information there is cluttered and not easy to navigate. Its search feature is next to useless.
It only syncs with iTunes and at first this could slow you down because it converts WMA files, all WMA files!
