I'm encountering a lot of mange cases lately both in commercial and backyard farms. Mange is a costly disease as it affects growth, and because it's difficult to treat, requires repeated treatments. One low cost remedy is to use Kakawati (Gliricidia sepium). It's efficacy is remarkable but dependent on the way of administration. Daily sprays (both the buildings and the pigs) of kakawati solution seems to be effective. It is also used in the treatment of human scabies in poultice form.
