HBC

HBC in Veterinary Clinics class, stands for hit by car. Usually they are askals or unwanted street dogs. They are presented with fractures which are usually multiple, in terrible pain and some are near-death.
I was nearly HBC-ed early this morning while going to work. I was on a motorcycle and of course without helmet on a slow lane (rightmost lane) of a four-lane highway and was northbound. I was near our office and was about to turn left to approach the gate whena fast pick-up appeared from nowhere!
Lessons:
  • Not everything appears on the rearview mirror.
  • Objects may not look as fast on the mirror.
  • When turning, signal light must be used, always.
Dying of HBC is very painful, but you would be luckier if you die. What if you don't?
