UMMB

That's urea molasses mineral block (aka UMMB) which is a good supplement for cattle. It can be used as lick or it can be dissolved in the drinking water. I tried making some but the mixture from the formula I got from an FAO document was dificult to harden.

It contains urea, molasses, minerals, tricalcium phosphate, cement, salt, and rice bran. The formula did not mention adding water but without water the resulting mixture was very dry. So
I added some to properly mix the materials. Next time, I'll decrease the amount of water.

The mixture. The white specks are the granules of urea.

I used different kinds of empty containers as cast.

**Adequate water must be available when using this to prevent toxicities.
