Puerto Princesa Airport

Puerto Princesa Airport was recently renovated but it is still too small for the number of guests arriving. It's due to the same time of arrival and departure of the airlines servicing it. Philippine Airlines' morning flight is at the same time with Cebu Pacific. The afternoon flight of Zest Air also coincides with the arrival of the second flight of Cebu Pacific. Compared with that of Caticlan, this is bigger but the sizes of the planes that serve this route make the terminal too congested.

At least, the airport is full and the tourists are now arriving. I still remember the Abu Sayaf incident in Dos Palmas which almost erased Puerto Princesa from the tourism map of the world. I was in college that time and I could remember that backpackers, prior to the Dos Palmas incident were everywhere in the city.

Now, although tourism in the city is alive, the profile of the tourists have changed. There are now more domestic tourists than foreigners.
